ERC Proof of Concept grant awarded to project „Toward Autonomous Observatories”

Prof. Pietrzyński from CAMK PAN and and the IT team from the Araucaria Project won the prestigious European Research Council Proof of Concept grant for 150 000 € for automatisation and optimisation of workflow at OCM!

They plan to increase the efficacy and efficiency of collecting high-quality data by 30%. Smoother observing routines mean more observations, and more observations mean more material to do science with. And their solution could be introduced in other observatories, too! 🤩
